During the autumn term existing Challenge Award users will be given access to a free copy of the revised Framework and free access to the Challenge Award area of the NACE website. Arrangements for Assessment remain unchanged. All schools will be assessed against the Challenge Award (First Revision).
What’s different?
We’ve updated the Framework with additional exemplification of evidence, process and impact so that schools can:
- Focus precisely on meeting the needs of high performing A,G&T pupils through a ‘challenge for all’ approach.
- Narrow the Gap through maximising potential for A,G&T in vulnerable groups
- Develop expertise and capacity at every level within schools and transfer of best practice
- Strengthen leadership and ensures that school leaders are Leaders of Learning
- Meeting the requirements of the New Ofsted Framework particularly the need to have sharper, impact focused self evaluation
What is the NACE Challenge Award?
It is a whole-school self-evaluation and improvement resource. It provides schools with a Framework for improvement through an in-depth analysis of provision. Exemplification of evidence, process and impact is provided so that you know how to recognise existing best practice and can plan for improvement effectively.
The Framework consists of ten Elements which together describe quality provision. Each Element contains objective criteria and suggested evidence of what constitutes effective practice. It not only gives benchmarks but, with the Key Supporting documents, shows you how to improve.
