Provision for Able, Gifted and Talented Pupils
A Self-Evaluation Framework for schools, colleges and local authorities
The Challenge Award is a unique and universal framework to empower schools to evaluate and develop their provision for Able, Gifted and Talented Pupils.
Though written within the English education system it is based on international understanding of good practice, requiring only minor modifications in terms of language and specific evidence examples to enable it to be used in other countries.
This framework has proved a powerful driver for change within the schools where it has been used.
The incentive of an accredited award has given particular impetus to this work and the practical nature of the guidance, drawn from real experience in school, has ensured that it is welcomed by teachers, school leaders, local administrators and national organisations.
