Hear an inspirational speaker, ask questions for further insights and enjoy afternoon tea. For teachers, headteachers, leading teachers, co-ordinators, advisers and inspectors. Our twelfth Audience gives an opportunity to hear a lead figure in Gifted Education from Europe.
Professor Kirsi Tirri is the most prolific writer in the field of moral and spiritual aspectsof gifted and talented education. A keynote speaker at the World Council for Gifted and Talented Children Conference, Warwick, 2007.
The moral and spiritual development of able learners is an aspect often overlooked. Whilst we know that some able learners have a strong moral and spiritual sense, an underdeveloped sense can hinder positive attitudes to self and to learning. This Audience will help teachers understand more about the moral and spiritual development of young people and how they can help.
Professor Kirsi Tirri is Professor of Religious Education at the Department of Practical Theology at the University of Helsinki and Visiting Professor in the Department of Education and Professional Studies at King’s College, University of London. She is also a Docent of Education at the University of Tampere and President-Elect of ECHA: The European Council for High Ability.
