TASC stands for Thinking Actively in a Social Context. Developed by Belle Wallace, Past President of NACE. TASC is a well researched universal thinking skills framework which empowers learners to:

• Work independently yet within an inclusive school policy
  
• Develop skills of research, investigation and problem-solving that can be used across the curriculum
  
• Develop a positive sense of self as an active learner
  
• Develop their strengths exploring and using the full range of their human abilities
  
• Develop skills of self-assessment

TASC provides teachers with a framework for:

• Lesson planning that systematically develops pupils' thinking and personalises their learning
• Effective planning for differentiation and extension
• A holistic approach to incorporating the full range of human abilities
• Assessing the processes of pupils' learning
