As schools prepare for the implementation of the new Curriculum for Wales, curriculum design and planning for progression are understandably taking centre stage. But there is a third aspect without which the aspirations for improved and meaningful outcomes for learners will not be achieved: pedagogy – a pedagogy underpinned by evidence of effectiveness, designed to allow all learners to make the progress of which they are capable.

In this first of a new series of webinars, NACE Education Adviser Hilary Lowe will explore the pedagogical principles outlined in the Successful Futures report (Donaldson, 2015), which serve as key building blocks for successful learning and high engagement. Open to all schools in Wales, the session will focus on what the principles mean in practice, supporting schools to move forward with ambitious curriculum delivery through well-developed pedagogical repertoires alongside strong curriculum design.

Live Q&A included, plus an overview of additional NACE resources with a focus on more able learners. 

Please note: to ensure as many schools as possible are able to attend this session, registrations will be restricted to one participant per school. The session will be presented in English.
