NACE’s regional R&D Hubs offer opportunities throughout the year for NACE members to gain valuable CPD, exchange effective practice, develop in-school research skills and collaborate on enquiry-based projects.

Each Hub is led by a Challenge Award-accredited school, bringing together members from all phases, sectors and contexts to share and augment the available evidence on what works for more able learners.

Interested? Join the online launch of this year’s NACE R&D Hubs programme on Wednesday 30 September at 3.45-5.00pm for an opportunity to:

  • Learn more about NACE R&D Hubs and how they work
  • Gain valuable CPD: Hub Lead Dr Ann McCarthy will present the outcomes of the first phase of NACE’s “Making Space for Able Learners” research project
  • Engage with other schools in your region in a group breakout session. Regional Hub leaders will outline plans for the year, including dates and key activities.

We plan for the Hubs to hold meetings in schools later this academic year, but for now we will meet virtually.

When signing up for the launch meeting you will be asked to confirm which Hub is your closest, and will be allocated to that group for the breakout session:

  • Barry Island Primary School, Vale of Glamorgan
  • Copthorne Primary School, West Yorkshire
  • Haybridge High School, Worcestershire
  • Holme Grange School, Berkshire
  • Southend High School for Boys, Essex

Please note: to allow as many schools to participate as possible, attendance is limited to one representative per school. We request that the same representative participates in the R&D Hubs programme throughout the year, for continuity and maximum benefit. There is no cost to attend this launch event or any NACE R&D Hub events, which are offered as part of NACE membership. Schools which are not yet members of NACE are welcome to join this launch meeting to learn more about the initiative and NACE; membership is required for continued participation.
