Each spotlight session focuses on a specific initiative, sharing why and how it was implemented, impact on learning, and key tips for effective application or adaptation in other settings.</span></p><p style="font-family: 'Segoe UI', 'Segoe UI Web', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px;">In this session, we’re shining the spotlight on The Holt School, Wokingham. Assistant Headteacher Emma Salamut-Ward will share details of an independent project initiative which challenged learners to engage critically and creatively with the opportunities, risks and ethics of artificial intelligence (AI). The initiative aimed to help students move beyond a superficial usage and understanding of AI, developing their ability to evaluate its strengths, limitations, and impact on society. It was designed to encourage independent learning, curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, metacognition, communication and research skills, while building students’ confidence in engaging with emerging technologies.</span></p><p style="font-family: 'Segoe UI', 'Segoe UI Web', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 16px;"></span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">Emma will outline the project implementation and impact, what worked well and what will be further developed, and suggest key issues for other schools to consider.</span></p><p style="font-family: 'Segoe UI', 'Segoe UI Web', Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;"><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;"></span><span style="font-family: Arial; font-size: medium;">There will be an opportunity for Q&amp;A and discussion at the end of the presentation.</span></p>
