Resources and support for NACE members during the COVID-19 pandemic
This webpage provides an overview of resources and support for staff at NACE member schools during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. We’ll continue to add to this list regularly, responding to member needs and priorities.
Remember, all staff at NACE member schools can register for an individual NACE account – providing access to all our online resources as well as regular email updates. To find out more, visit our ”getting started” guide.
NACE Challenge and coronavirus: Q&A
We’ve published a Q&A for schools working with the NACE Challenge Framework , including those preparing for Challenge Award assessment or reaccreditation. We’re also offering additional remote support for these schools, including additional Challenge Clinic support calls and the option for remote consultancy.
Free resources to support students remotely
The pandemic has seen organisations across the world respond by sharing free content and resources to help support schools, students and families. We’ve rounded up a selection of free resources available from our partners and other organisations, focusing on challenge alongside enjoyment, enrichment and wellbeing.
"Reimagining education": senior leader forum
We're bringing together education leaders from across the NACE community to share perspectives, strategies and plans for the new academic year and beyond. We launched this initiative with an online event on 20 May, led by NACE patron Dr Chris Yapp. Additional online events will be shared via our community calendar.
Curriculum reform in Wales: remote CPD and resources
To support schools preparing for the new Curriculum for Wales, we're offering a series of webinars and accompanying resources. Bespoke support is also available through remote CPD and consultancy. Find out more.
"Getting started": book a free support call
We’re offering free 1-2-1 support calls for those new to NACE, and/or those keen to get the most out of membership. To discuss your current needs, priorities and how NACE can help, simply book a call at a convenient time for you.
We’re taking our popular member meetups online, starting with two sessions focusing on challenging and supporting more able learners in the current climate. Watch the recordings of these sessions here. To help shape the focus of future sessions, complete this short survey.
Member forums: share what’s working
Our new online forums allow NACE members to stay connected and share experiences – particularly important during the current time. Log in to pose a question, seek or share advice, or to share an approach which is working well for you, your school and your learners.
Webinars: online CPD for all staff at NACE schools
Visit our library of recorded webinars for training on a range of topics relating to provision for more able learners – from updating your more able policy to subject-specific support, mindset and CEIAG. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes and can be used as the basis for departmental or whole-school planning or simply to refresh your thinking.
NACE Essentials: guidance for those leading on more able provision
Our flagship range of NACE Essentials guides provide practical advice for those leading on policy and practice for more able learners. Authored by experts in the field, each publication draws on research and evidence-based good practice, including practical examples, resources and suggested further reading.
NACE Quality of Education Curriculum Audit Tool©: free for NACE members
Free for NACE members, the NACE Quality of Education Curriculum Audit Tool© offers a comprehensive framework to support curriculum review and development at whole-school or departmental level, with a focus on high-quality provision for more able learners and challenge for all.
