NACE Challenge Cards

Challenge cards: use for challenge of the day or week, challenge activities in school, challenge quizzes at home, and more…

What are the NACE Challenge Cards?

Created by NACE Trustee Sue Mordecai, the Challenge Cards can be used to support challenge for all, across early years, primary, and secondary school learners. Each card presents a challenge question or activity for your learners to complete, spanning a variety of subject areas and skillsets: some are straightforward and have one answer, some have several answers, some are open to interpretation. The cards are accompanied by teacher notes, which provide guidance and solutions where applicable; please note that these are not exhaustive.

These are included as a member benefit. Please log in for access.

How can the Challenge Cards be used?

The challenge cards can be used in a variety of ways: online, in class, at home. You could try using them for:

  • Challenge of the day
  • Challenge(s) of the week
  • Challenge quizzes for home learning – sent to parents/carers with notes
  • Challenge club activities

The challenge questions and activities can stimulate further ideas for challenging your learners and also inspire them to create their own challenges.
