Fancy an exclusive sneak preview of an exciting new maths activity, designed to really challenge mathematical thinking in your classroom? Join this online member meetup in collaboration with Cambridge University’s NRICH team, for the opportunity to preview a brand new resource from NRICH, test it out for yourself, and contribute to its future development.
NACE is proud to partner with Cambridge University’s NRICH initiative, which is dedicated to creating free maths resources and activities to support schools in providing enriching, challenging maths experiences for all. This term, NRICH is inviting NACE members to a sneak preview of its forthcoming “Project X”, which promises to be one of its most talked-about releases in recent years. The event will include exclusive access to the pre-release version of this under-wraps activity and an opportunity to help contribute towards its further development ahead of its planned release to schools later this year.
The session will open with a brief update from the Director of NRICH, Dr Ems Lord, followed by an introduction to “Project X” from the NRICH team. Attendees will then have the chance to test out the activity for themselves in small breakout groups, before reconvening to share feedback and ideas. After the session, attendees will have exclusive access to use the resource with their students, and will be invited to continue to contribute to its further development.
Please note: to allow as many schools to benefit from this opportunity as possible, places are limited to one per school.
