Run by Roger Sutcliffe, creator of the A-Z and Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching, this programme is designed to:

  • Provide an up-to-date, comprehensive account of what metacognition is
  • Show why it is important to cultivate it in the classroom
  • Introduce the A-Z as a complete scheme for teaching and learning metacognition: ‘Stunningly simple, but remarkably rich’
  • Show how to implement the scheme from day 1 in your classroom, with minimum extra planning or resources
  • Show how students can take ownership of the scheme over time, and thus continue on their own metacognitive journey through and beyond school, steadily enhancing their thinking skills and enriching their cognitive strategies

NACE members: £200 for full programme; Non-members: £300 for full programme

Please note: session one is in person; the others will be held online. Please contact us to discuss remote access to session one if travel is a barrier to attendance.
