NACE Member Spotlight: Arden Academy

4.00 – 4.45pm, Thursday 4th December 2025, online

Free event, exclusively for NACE members

New for 2025-26, our half-termly member spotlights are live online events, offering the opportunity to hear a leading member of the NACE community share a case study of effective practice for their more able learners. Each spotlight session focuses on a specific initiative, sharing why and how it was implemented, impact on learning, and key tips for effective application or adaptation in other settings.

In this session, we’re shining the spotlight on Arden Academy, a secondary school and sixth-form in Solihull. School Librarian Emma O’Brien will share how she’s been using AI to support the creation of bespoke recommended reading lists for individual students. Building on students’ existing interests and preferences, these lists provide inspiration for an extended reading diet, prompting students to explore new genres, delve into more challenging texts, and develop their love of reading. Emma will outline her journey to date, with examples of what’s worked well, potential pitfalls to avoid, and next steps.

You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have at the end of the presentation.
