Rhys Angell Jones is Headteacher of Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg (as of January 2021). He was formerly Headteacher of Treorchy Comprehensive School, having joined the school in 1997.
Rhys was a founding member of the Central South Consortium (CSC) Strategic Group in 2014. Through his work with the CSC, as a member of the Welsh Government School Practitioners Panel, and as a headteacher committed to school improvement, Rhys has been active in the CSC Challenge and School Challenge Cymru programmes of school-to-school support.
Before entering teaching, Rhys worked as a Local Authority Development Control Officer and as an Economic Researcher within the Economics Department of the Welsh Development Agency, before returning to university in 1996 to complete a PGCE. |
