We've been Reflecting and Refreshing

National Association for Able Children in Education - November Newsfeed

What’s new, November?

We hope you’ve had a good half-term break with time for some well-deserved R&R, whatever that means for you: rest, recreation, relaxation, reading, respite, replenishment…

Our chosen “Rs” have been reflect and refresh; we’ve used this mid-term breathing space to revisit some of our established resources and products. This has included (ahead of the publication of the much-anticipated Curriculum and Assessment Review) our Curriculum Audit and Assessment Audit – with refreshed versions of both coming soon.

For now, our 40 benchmarks RAG rating – launched in 2023 to celebrate NACE’s 40th anniversary – has had a little glow-up. If you can extend that mid-term pause slightly, take the time to (re)visit this resource to help you reflect on your school’s current strengths in more able and challenge provision, and review your plans for the remainder of the year to address any areas for development.
