NACE Student Questionnaire: Digital Learning Review

Supporting school review of digital teaching and learning, with a focus on more able learners

The NACE Student Questionnaire: Digital Learning Review is designed to support schools in their evaluation of the impact of digital technology usage on learning – with a particular focus on meeting the needs of the most able learners and providing appropriate challenge. It provides a framework to promote discussion and to explore students’ views on what is working well, what may need to be adapted, and further potential for technology usage in providing access to challenging content and developing confident, autonomous learners with essential 21st century skills.

It is a flexible tool which schools can adapt for different phases and contexts, taking account of the level of access to technology students have both within and outside school. Questions can be completed in advance by students, to be followed up with discussion either individually or in a group. Schools could set the review as a single task, or explore on a question-by-question basis.

NACE member schools working with the NACE Challenge Development Programme may wish to use the student questionnaire as part of their work with the NACE Digital Learning Review and Forward Planning Tool, available via the NACE Challenge Hub (login required).

How to access the questionnaire

The questionnaire is available free of charge for all schools. It is provided as a Word document to make it easy for schools to adapt and use, and for students to complete.
