Early Career Teachers Network Group: 16 November 2021

Exchange ideas, share information, and build connections to support your early career development

Whether you are looking for more practical ideas to support your provision for more able learners or want to keep up to date with the latest practice in effective teaching generally, then our new Early Career Teachers Network Group might be what you are looking for. Offering termly twilight sessions online, the group is designed to allow you to share ideas, gain valuable peer-to-peer advice and learn more about how NACE can support you.

The sessions will be facilitated by Dr Keith Watson, NACE Curriculum Development Director, who has researched and delivered training on innovative teaching for more able learners for many years and has developed and delivered our ECT programme.

Please note these sessions will be peer-directed and are designed to be light and informal. In each session Dr Watson will respond to questions that you have submitted and share brief ideas and practical examples, but more importantly will focus on supporting participants to direct and take control of their own professional development through facilitated sharing and discussion. All thoughts, ideas and questions will be received in a safe, supportive and motivational setting.

These sessions are a great way to build connections across the NACE community with others in similar situations, no matter where you are based. So much more than just information sharing!

How it works:

When registering you will be asked to submit a question you would like answered during the session.
Questions will be collated and shared with the group in advance, so you can arrive at the session with ideas to share.
Session facilitator Keith Watson will open the session and share initial ideas. Depending on numbers, breakout rooms may be convened for further discussion.
Related and new NACE resources and services will be highlighted to further support participants.
Between termly meetings, participants in the Network Group are encouraged to continue to exchange ideas, questions and experiences through our online community forums.
