Creating opportunities for
all learners to flourish

This year’s NACE Conference is dedicated to exploring how schools can remove barriers to learning so that all young people can flourish. All keynote speakers are now confirmed, and we are delighted to have the Sutton Trust’s Kevin Latham joining us along with The Real David Cameron and Dr Haili Hughes. Inspiring workshop sessions will be led by Claire Gadsby, leading NACE Associates, and trailblazing schools sharing how they are levelling the field for young people who encounter various forms of disadvantage.

The Teacher Toolkit Guide to Memory
by Ross Morrison McGill

Ross Morrison McGill has shared many practical ideas over the years and continues to publish under the “Teacher Toolkit” banner. Cleverly designed with infographics, charts and diagrams, The Teacher Toolkit Guide to Memory provides clear, visual explanations of how memory works, including short- and long-term, working, semantic and episodic memory. The guide presents a wealth of original ideas for incorporating this theory into daily classroom practice, with proven methods for aiding knowledge retention and testing recall, to boost learning, support revision and motivate pupils. Useful in supporting reflections on how to modify retrieval activities for more able learners.
