NACE newsfeed: March 2026
New online community, more Year of Reading, get connected
National Association for Able Children in Education - January 2026 Newsfeed

Spring has sprung… 🌱🌼🌷🪻

… and we’re feeling optimistic. Last week we welcomed the emphasis within the schools white paper on high aspirations for all, on recognising high standards and inclusion as two sides of the same coin, and on ensuring every child is stretched and supported to achieve all they can. This underscores NACE’s vision: that all young people should have the opportunity to develop their abilities without limits – no matter what barriers to learning they may face and no matter what school they attend.

We look forward to supporting even more schools to make this vision a reality. Following on from the publication and launch of our latest research in this field, we are excited to announce a new event on the theme “Removing barriers to opportunity and achievement”, taking place on 23 June 2026. You heard it here first – please spread the word!

Talking! Partner profile
Featured Partner: University of LeedsThe STEM partnerships team at St Paul’s School is piloting a new KS4 physics problem solving course starting this April, aiming to raise confidence in physics problem solving amongst teachers (in and out of specialism) and high-ability students.
The course is entirely remote, comprising seven challenging sets of problems based on GCSE physics content; online twilight seminars; and “near-to-peer” mentoring. This is free and open to all schools. Full details.
