How do you identify more able learners?

During the first meeting of NACE's new online More Able Leads Network Group, a key focus of the discussion was around different schools' approaches to the identification of more able learners. This is an area NACE is often asked about, and our guidance on this topic includes:

Blog post: "Identifying more able learners: beyond the numbers"

Blog post: "More able learners: key terminology and definitions"

Webinar: Identification and transition (member login required)

Plus: see our recently updated school policy guidance for more support in this area.

How does your school identify more able learners? What other questions would you like addressed? Join the next More Able Leads Network Group online meeting on Thursday 17 June, and view our community calendar for all upcoming events.

Thanks, Laura. The guidance you have provided via the links, above, will support members of this network group in addressing many of their queries and concerns. To all network members, thank you so much for your questions and contributions to the first of our More Able Leads' network meetings. The quality of discussion and support for one another was inspiring and I look forward to seeing you again - along with any new members of the network - on June 17th. In the meantime, I hope you're having a wonderful half term break. Please feel free to post your comments and queries via this forum to keep the conversation going. Best wishes, Chris.
