- The journey to gaining Challenge Award accreditation and reaccreditation.
- Improving the quality of teaching and outcomes for learners.
- How the NACE Challenge Framework criteria can be used to create a whole-school ethos of success.
- Pedagogical practices to support and challenge pupils.
- Supporting pupils’ emotional well-being and development effective learning behaviours so that they are ready to face challenges.
- Q&A opportunity to ask questions about the school and aspects covered earlier in the day, as well as questions about the NACE Challenge Framework and/or Challenge Award accreditation and reaccreditation.
Questions can be submitted in advance and will be used to tailor the focus of the day. About the school
Osmani Primary is a high achieving two form entry, inner city school located in Whitechapel, East London. Approximately one third of pupils are eligible for free school meals. The school first achieved the NACE Challenge Award in 2017 and will be assessed for the third time in the summer term of this academic year. The school’s vision is to develop an inclusive school which promotes and achieves excellence for all pupils. Challenge is at the heart of the school’s practice for all learners so that they are ready to face the emerging opportunities for the 21st century. Through the school’s ethos of embracing new challenges, developing positive learning behaviours and emotional resilience as well as a creative curriculum and adaptive teaching strategies, all pupils feel a sense of success. This opportunity is aimed at school leaders, more able coordinators and others leading on provision for more able learners and high attainment in a school or group of schools. It is open to leaders and practitioners from all phases, sectors and stages
of development in provision for more able learners – including schools with no previous experience of the NACE Challenge Framework, as well as those already using the Framework and/or holding the NACE Challenge Award.
