Ask a NACE consultant

Book a short telephone consultancy

Our "Ask NACE" consultancy service offers an opportunity to gain an external perspective and support on a specific area of teaching and learning, policy or practice for more able learners in the current context. Suitable for all phases and school settings, to support your school’s provision for more able learners.

Whether you are starting out or working to sustain embedded good practice, we can offer advice on policy and provision for the more able – including guidance on leadership, identification, curriculum development, teaching and learning, CPD, partnerships, and working with parents and carers.

Each support call lasts up to 45 minutes. During the call our consultant will answer your questions, challenge your thinking and make suggestions for future actions. If relevant, the consultant will also send a short note with any follow-up recommendations.

“I found the session really useful as [the consultant] was able to clarify many points for me and made me feel more at ease in taking on the new role of 'more able' lead. The phone call surpassed my expectations as [the consultant] was kind enough to share her school's policy with me and even offered her assistance in looking over my school's policy. I would like to thank NACE for having these one-to-one sessions as people like myself may not be confident enough to ask all the questions they would like to in a group setting.”

– 1-2-1 call participant, autumn 2020
