How can we further develop challenge for more able students within the primary curriculum, thereby improving challenge for all?
This workshop event explores the importance of challenge across the primary curriculum, focusing on history, maths and reading. Based upon NACE research, we will identify key elements of challenge within the curriculum and
also provide subject-specific guidance and practical ideas for effective teaching.
This event will bring together school leaders and practitioners to explore these themes across your school, spending the core part of the workshop within subject groups before returning to the wider picture in a final discussion
and reflection (see below for full programme details).
Delegates will leave with an understanding of consistent themes in providing challenge across the curriculum, with practical actions for implementation in the classroom.
Feedback from our last primary workshop event:
“A very informative and useful workshop today.”
“I loved the speakers, they were so engaging and supportive. I can't wait to attend further sessions.”
“There were plenty of practical activities and ideas which I will certainly bring into my own practice.”
