Challenging the more able learner in maths at KS3 and 4One-day course for secondary maths teachers
Date: 4 February 2020Location: Horticulture House, Oxfordshire OX11 0RNThis new one-day course is designed to give secondary maths teachers practical ways to create and maintain a learning environment of high challenge and high aspiration throughout KS3 and KS4. Delegates will explore research-informed approaches to identify and meet the needs of more able mathematicians, including activities to promote deep mathematical thinking and problem-solving, curriculum extension, and effective monitoring and evaluation of provision for this group. Book nowLed by NACE Associate Rob Lightfoot, this new one-day course offers practical guidance and examples for secondary maths practitioners seeking to improve provision for more able learners at KS3 and KS4. Delegates will gain a range of practical approaches to inform their own practice, and to support department-wide development. This workshop is aimed at:
